George Westren spent time in detox in 1999, one of many rehab stints in his life. During this particular visit George was taken to an exhibition of Bridget Riley where he was inspired by her style to draw for the first time ever. Since then has developed his technique, using pen ink and ruling apparatus he creates these geometric designs that draw the viewer in and often sideways. He worked consistently, but his drawings were kept unseen for three years until December 2003, when they were shown in an exhibition at Publicis in Baker Street, London. George lives in London.
